Dr. Anthony Buglino was one of many physicians featured in an ABC News article published April 14. The article, “From house calls to drive-thru visits, independent physicians adapt amid COVID-19 crisis,” examined health care professionals who “are playing their part to fill in the gaps for bigger hospitals as they struggle with COVID-19 response.”

Both a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Buglino has taken on more cases of lacerations during this time. Buglino told the outlet, “Parents aren’t used to having their kids 24/7. It’s unstructured. The kids are running around and getting hurt…I see more lacerations during holidays. This is like an extended holiday.”
As the pandemic continues, Dr. Buglino will continue to tend to patients in need of reconstructive surgeries, laceration repairs, and more in an effort to keep otherwise healthy patients away from packed, and often dangerous, emergency rooms.
